- I'am trying to use wfwg 3.11 and chameleon nfs 4.0 together.
- But to set it up as a second network is not possible for me.
-
- Can someone tell me how it's done.

- Yeah, well, you have a bigger problem there.
-
- Find a way to do static addressing or PPP (which can tell you your address)
- and you're set.

- Subject: WFWG+NFS+dis_pkt9+pktmux+Trumpet winsock
-
- Having problems getting dis_pkt9+pktmux to run both a pktdrv NFS client
- (shareware) and the pktdrv Trumpet winsock stack concurrantly.
- EIther one or the other runs?? Is that pktmux is shutting off
- the winsock stack when it attempts to startup when windows is started??
- (NFS client has to be started at autoexec time... see autoexec.bat)
-
- Here's my config:
-
- (The following is excerpts of text sent to the supporters of the
- shareware NFS stack at nfs@tsoft.net)
-
- Environment is: nfsdrvr 024, WatTCP, WFWG 3.11 + Trumpet winsock
-
- I've been working on getting nfsdrvr loaded under WFWG 3.11 with
- trumpet winsock co-loaded under windows 3.11. Here's
- my experiences todate:
-
- 1) load NDIS2, dis_pkt9, pktmux, pktdrv, pktdrv, nfsdrvr,
- on demand attempt to load winsock (fails)
-
- 2) As you can see from autoexec.bat, the cmd line to nfsdrvr
- I'm attempting to minimize nfsdrvr's ram consumption, as it takes
- >>79k from low mem. This configuration leaves about 500k of low mem
- which is barely enough to run windows + apps. Some older apps are less
- smart in a ram starved environment and tend to act flacky or exception
- falt more often. So a way to minimize low mem consumption of nfsdrvr is
- useful.
-
- 3) The following configuration would work in an either / or situation.
-
- a) Either run nfsdrvr from autoexec.bat, it seemed to hog both pktdrv
- connections, or pktmux sensed the presents of another TCP/IP stack and
- refused the winsock attach.
-
- b) or you don't run nfsdrvr and run windows and the winsock stack starts
- up fine. I don't have enough knowledge to diagnose why trumpet winsock
- wouldn't start. I just thought of the diag trace facility in trumpet, may
- shed some light on why it won't start when nfsdrvr was started 1st, even
- through pktmux/pktdrv/pktdrv should service both simultaneously??
